With the automotive industry becoming more and more digitalized, the need for secure and robust information security management has become increasingly important. Today, technology is an integral part of every vehicle and its functionality and incredible amounts of data are created, transferred and stored by automotive manufacturers and suppliers during each step in a vehicle’s life cycle.
With more than 10,000 assessed sites in more than 80 countries, TISAX has become the industry standard for information and cybersecurity assessments in the automotive industry. Designed to manage cyber risks of large supply bases, TISAX is used by manufacturers and suppliers. TISAX comes with an online platform that allows companies to share their TISAX results online and verify their suppliers’ assessments.
The ENX Association
Founded in 2000, ENX acts as the governing body and escalation authority. ENX develops the TISAX cyber security standard and oversees its correct implementation. ENX Association is a not-for-profit organization consisting of automobile manufacturers, suppliers and four national automotive associations whose aim is to facilitate secure and trustworthy collaboration in industrial value-added networks.
TISAX’s Information Security Assessment controls are grouped under Information Security, Data Protection and Prototype and are defined by a group of security experts from automotive manufacturers and suppliers. They are aligned with the ISO 27001 standard, with specific requirements for suppliers in the automotive industry.
