PACCAR Receives J.D. Power and Associates Founder’s Award

ORLANDO: 16 February 2009 J.D. Power and Associates presented the prestigious Founders Award today to PACCAR for its long-standing commitment to customer satisfaction in the commercial-vehicle industry.

Gary Dilts, senior vice president of global automotive operations at J.D. Power and Associates, presented the award to Tom Plimpton, PACCAR vice chairman, at the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association 2009 Heavy Duty Dialogue event in Orlando, Fla.  PACCAR manufactures light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and owns
the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF brands.

The Founder's Award signifies truly outstanding achievement, and we are pleased that PACCAR joins a select list of world-class customer-focused organizations that set the standard for all businesses, said Dilts.

The Founders Award is a discretionary award presented periodically that recognizes individuals or companies demonstrating dedication, commitment and sustained improvement in serving customers.  During the 40-year history of J.D. Power and Associates, only 23 companies or individuals have previously received the award.  Past honorees include Toyota Motor Corporation, The Ritz Carlton Hotels, USAA and Progress Energy.

PACCAR brands have consistently received awards for customer satisfaction with product and dealer service in two annual J.D. Power and Associates studies the Heavy-Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study and Medium- Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study.
