PACCAR Donates $1 Million for Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
September 2, 2005, Bellevue, Washington PACCAR today announced it was making a $1 million contribution to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund to support humanitarian efforts for those impacted in the United States Gulf Coast area. Coordinating with other relief agencies, the American Red Cross is delivering critical aid to this region, including food, shelter and other relief supplies.
PACCAR manufactures and distributes premium commercial vehicles and aftermarket parts to customers in over 100 countries, with its largest market in the United States. The hurricane has had a terrible impact throughout the Gulf Coast area, said Mark C. Pigott, chairman and chief executive officer. All PACCAR employees worldwide send their prayers and support to the families impacted by the devastation.
