DAF Wins Irish Truck of the Year Award
The DAF XF105 won the 2012 Irish Fleet Truck Award at the annual Export & Freight Transport and Logistics Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The jury praised the XF105 for its excellent reliability, fuel-efficient design and driver comfort. The Truck of the Year Awards are considered the premier transport awards in Ireland and are organized by Export & Freight magazine.

Ray Ashworth, managing director of DAF Trucks U.K., received the award in front of 500 leading representatives from the transport industry. “This award underscores DAF’s product strength,” said Ashworth. “The award for the XF105—judged by a panel of professional truck operators from Northern Ireland—is gratifying and demonstrates the model’s sustained leadership in its class. The DAF XF105 is Europe’s best-selling tractor thanks to its exceptional fuel economy and product quality.”
